Certified/Registered Medical Assistant/LPN

AVV Health Centers is seeking dynamic, energetic, self-starters to join the AVVHC team.

Experienced Certified/Registered Medical Assistant/LPN

The successful candidate will provide support services including assisting providers with patient examinations, procedures, treatment, and care coordination for the purpose of facilitating effective delivery of patient care and patient satisfaction.

Duties include but are not limited to:

– Performs routine intake procedures by obtaining and recording patient medical histories, vitals, and patient symptoms/complaints.

– Assists providers during clinical exams, office procedures, and other patient care.

– Administers injections, immunizations, and lab draws/procedures.

– Prepares and instructs patients about medication and/or post treatment care.

– Assumes role of advocate to ensure health needs are met including responding to patient phone messages and requests in a timely and professional manner.

– Documents all provider orders, nursing actions, and interventions on patient record consistent with health center guidelines.

Qualifications:

– High School Diploma or equivalent

– Certified or Registered Medical Assistant, LPN, or 3+ years of experience working in a medical clinic in lieu of certification is required

– Two to three years of experience in a medical setting is preferred

– Basic understanding of patient care, medical terminology, and coding procedures

– Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills

*Bilingual candidates are a plus.

Technology Support Specialist I

Technology Support Specialist I (one) you will report directly to the Information Technology Director. You will assist the Information Technology Director with the day-to-day duties and responsibilities associated with the support and maintenance of all aspects of the Health Clinic(s). Identifies, researches and resolves technical problems of moderate complexity. Responds to support requests/tickets by telephone, email or in-person and maintains documentation on all technical support activity. The successful candidate will be highly motivated to learn and grow in the Information Technology field and have a minimum of 1 year experience supporting Intel based computers, IPADS, tablets and other microprocessor-based devices, printers, projectors, network and Wi-Fi connectivity an array of a wide range of healthcare software including and not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, Windows. You must be able to lift and carry printers, monitors and other equipment as needed. The Technology Support Specialist will also perform various duties assigned by the Information Technology Director 

Responsibilities/Expectations: 

· Performs a variety of tasks to safely maintain all technology related equipment in exam rooms and offices throughout the health clinics. 

· Follows all policies and applies appropriate operating and maintenance procedures. 

· Maintains general knowledge of site/location/equipment 

· Installs and maintains technology hardware and associated devices as requested by the Information Technology Director. 

· Troubleshoots, operates, repairs and maintains all technology related devices as necessary to provide a working network within the health clinics including computers and uninterruptable power supply systems; removes, repairs and reinstalls computers as requested through the in-house solution software as directed by the Information Technology Director. 

· Other duties as assigned 

Physical and Environment Work Requirements: 

Must be able to: 

· Carry and lift items that weigh a minimum of 50 lbs. 

· Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat 

· Work on ladders 

· Use hand tools 

Education/Years of Experience: 

· Required: High School Diploma/GED, a minimum of Two (2) years’ experience as a Technology Support Specialist or similar role 

· Preferred: Minimum of one (1) year experience in technology support 

Other Requirements: 

· Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record 

· Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority 

· Needs advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Application and PC skills, proficient/advanced knowledge of spreadsheets, data bases and health center HER software.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing clerical tasks, such as sorting and sending mail
  • Keeping an inventory of office supplies and ordering new materials as needed
  • Maintaining files
  • Welcoming visitors to your office
  • Answering phone calls
  • Taking and delivering messages
  • Ensuring the office runs smoothly
  • Scheduling meetings and sending meeting invites to attendees
